Praise Report: The First Bible for Those who Cannot Hear

The First Bible For Those Who Cannot Hear

According to Wycliffe Bible Translators, there are no translations of the Bible in any sign language. However, that might change soon. Japan Deaf Evangel Mission (JDEM) aims to create the world's only full-text sign language Bible using video-recorded Scriptures. According to JDEM, the mission is to "translate the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures into Japanese Sign Language (JSL) and produce them on visual media, placing these Bible tapes for sale in bookstores throughout Japan." They have currently translated 13 books of the 66 books of the Bible.

Praise God the efforts of Japan Deaf Evangel Mission to produce the first full-text sign language Bible (The Bible, 2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Praise God for Christian Believers worldwide who strive to bring the Gospel to people in their languages (The Bible, Isaiah 52:7).
