Praise Report: Unrelenting Fortitude Of The Sahrawi People

Even though the Sahrawi people live in austere conditions, there is much news to bring cheer. Health and education are considered very important in the refugee camps where they live. There has not been a major epidemic in the previous twenty years. In 1975, nearly 90 percent of Sahrawis could neither read nor write. Thirty-eight years later, the literacy rate is 90 percent.

Recently, the National Consultative Commission for the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights and the People's Provincial Assembly sent a caravan loaded with food and clothing for Sahrawis in refugee camps who remain cheerful even in difficult circumstances.

Praise God for the strength and perseverance of the people of Western Sahara (The Bible, Deuteronomy 32:3-14).

Praise God for the improvements in the fields of health and education in the refugee camps (The Bible, 1 Chronicles 16:8).

Pray that the Sahrawi people will be able to return to their homeland (The Bible, Galatians 5:1).
