Transforming The 10/40 Window Nations Through The Power of Prayer

Join the Generosity Movement (July 2013)

The gathering darkness of the Phnom Penh evening gave cover to the team of anti-trafficking police and International Justice Mission (IJM) staff. International Justice Mission is a Christian human rights agency. They work tirelessly to rescue victims of slavery, sexual exploitation, and other forms of violent oppression. They received information about brothels that were operating in an inconspicuous building. Along with the anti-trafficking police, stealthily they moved and swiftly they secured the building. It was not long before the police arrested the suspects.

The IJM social workers were at hand to counsel and comfort the confused young women and girls as they emerged from the building. The girls remained silent and reluctant to confide in anyone. The police officers were remarkably patient with the girls during the interview process, constantly assuring them that they were free and that they had a life ahead of them. The girls were later moved to a temporary shelter where they will receive critical care and counseling, after which, they will receive vocational training that will help them reintegrate into society.

A case was filed in the Phnom Penh court against the two suspects who have been charged with trafficking. And that very same night the police locked the doors of the brothels for good.

Christian Believers continue to faithfully follow the teachings of the living Jesus Christ in freeing the oppressed and announcing the Jubilee year of the Lord's favor. We invite you to join hands with Window International Network in supporting Christian Believers and leaders in the 10/40 Window Nations. Praise God for the dramatic rescue of the girls who were trafficked and exploited in these brothels (The Bible, Isaiah 12:2).

Pray for God's comfort to surround the families whose loved ones continue to be trafficked and exploited (The Bible, Psalm 23:4).

Pray that God would bring about a speedy end to the scourge of human trafficking (The Bible, Isaiah 12:2).

Pray for the Christian Church in the 10/40 Window Nations to continue to persevere in the cause of the Kingdom of God even in the midst of acute danger and hardship (The Bible, Psalms 27:14).

Pray for God's abundant blessing upon the financial partners of WIN (The Bible, Luke 6:38).
